My Thoughts

“I believe that to appreciate diversity and afterward proceed with inclusion trust should be achieved: trust in people, trust in the process, and trust in results.”

“One of the biggest hurdles when dealing with diversity is bias. I know this from my own experience, and I know that I needed some effort to agree that I am biased and then let it go allowing myself to focus on the values offered by diversity.”

“Having a physical encounter with someone is an effective way to promote inclusion, but it is not always necessary. When working with people who are located hundreds or thousands of kilometers away, visual communication tools like Teams or Zoom are often used. While it may seem difficult to fully understand someone’s body language through a screen, having faith and paying attention to non-verbal cues can go a long way in helping you accurately interpret what you see.”

“Diversity is the key to success and agile teams are a great example. I firmly believe that agile teams would not be possible or effective without diversity. Only when people from diverse backgrounds, with different approaches, thoughts, and beliefs, come together, can they create innovative and effective solutions. The fusion of diverse minds is what produces great results.”

“In 2021-2022 I had the chance to lead a team of architects and engineers from Romania, Albania, and Kosovo. We were doing BIM 3D modeling for international clients with great success.
Our secret: seamless communication, common trust, and mutual respect while preserving our
national identities.”
